Who we are

Founded in Victoria in 1992, Moka House holds a strong position in the Island Coffee Scene. We offer the finest in espresso based specialty coffee with emphases on Fair-Trade and Certified and Organic products.

A wide selection of deli sandwiches items, hot entrees such as soups, pasta and chili, as well as decadent pastries and desserts are available as the perfect accompaniment to you coffee.

Relax in the atmosphere provided by a warm inviting fireplace and comfy seating. Add to that service second to none in a spotlessly clean environment, that’s Moka House!

Take a closer look at the artwork displayed on our walls. You may recognize a name or two because the art we display is created by local artists. Every month the scenery changes as we give a new artist a chance to have there art displayed for the public.

Moka House Coffee is a privately owned Western Canadian specialty coffee franchise system. “Franchisees” are hands-on owner/operators that are both personally and financially committed to their business. Our operational procedures are tried and true. Detailed operation manuals, excellent training and ongoing support add even more value to our franchise system.

What do you need and what are the costs?

Start-up investment begins with a franchise fee of $25,000 upon signing of the agreement. The there is the asset purchase agreement that covers everything from design to build and stocking of your new location. This cost varies by design but is the range of $250,000 to $350,000.
